“Bring or meet your sweetheart” — that’s the timely motto for the Honored Citizens Club’s upcoming Valentine’s Day tea. The event, for anyone 55 or older, begins at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 at First United Methodist Church, 946 Vermont St. Organizers request a $3 minimum donation per person to attend. The Honored Citizens Club’s seasonal teas aim to bring people together for good cheer over cups of tea, treats and entertainment. This month’s treats will include chocolate-dipped strawberries, and entertainment will be provided by ballet dancers from the Lawrence Arts Center.
