A new exhibit will begin at the Lumberyard Arts Center, 718 High St., Baldwin City on Friday, August 16 from 7 to 9 pm, featuring the photographic artistry of Val Ireland and Carol Yoho. The Topeka and Emporia photographers are presenting their works titled "Earth, Air, Water, Fire: Elemental Images of Kansas and Beyond" The show will continue through September 14, 2013. Visit www.lumberyardartscenter.org for exhibit hours. Refreshments. In conjunction with the opening of the exhibit by Ireland and Yoho, there will also be the August Art Walk, with varied artists and craftsmen showing their work on the 8th Street and High Street sides of the Lumberyard Arts Center. Look for pottery, jewelry, spin art, face painting, leatherwork and more by area.
