Oread Neighborhood Parking Workshop

Event details

Lawrence was one of a few cities selected to participate in the Parking Audit Tool through EPA’s Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities grant program. The program provides quick, targeted technical assistance using a variety of tools that have demonstrated results and widespread application. The purpose of these tools is to stimulate a discussion about growth and development and strengthen local capacity to implement sustainable approaches. The Oread Neighborhood, with its many stakeholders and users, was chosen as the pilot neighborhood to explore parking policies and strategies that will improve quality of life and economic vitality in Lawrence.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the meeting to discuss parking solutions in the Oread neighborhood, facilitated by EPA’s Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities team. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Carnegie Building, 200 W. 9th Street.
