Reverse Thread, Regina Carter's latest album, invites us to a world of traditional African music infused with contemporary jazz and Afropop energy. Known as one of the finest violinists of her generation, Carter captures both the essence and allure of the original music through a lens of contemporary interpretation. This album blends the exquisite sound of Carter's violin with a rhythm section, the kora (West African harp) and the accordion.
