Join the KU Center for East Asian Studies for this traditional celebration which is part of the Asian Mid-Autumn Festival. Attendees will watch as the moon rises; hear poetry readings in Chinese, Japanese and Korean; and listen to background music performed by the Kansas City Chinese Music Ensemble, which features traditional Chinese instruments.Guests will also be served moon cakes, traditional desserts filled with red bean paste, pineapple or nuts. The event will be held outdoors in the Lied Center Courtyard. In the event of rain, the event will be moved inside the Lied Center.
