Lawrence Medical Managers, a local group for healthcare administrators, employees and managers in Lawrence, will be hosting a lunch seminar Wednesday, Sept 12th titled “HIPAA Security Risk Assessment for Meaningful Use Measure 15.” The seminar, which is open to the public, will be held at Maceli’s 1031 New Hampshire in Lawrence, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will include lunch. Featured speaker, Janine Akers, CEO of DataFile, will be speaking about staying profitable and compliant, while keeping your focus on patient care and practice growth. Participants will learn about the history of Meaningful Use Measure 15 and the current landscape/tone in the industry. They will be presented with an understanding of the OIG/OCR auditing protocols with an overview of the SRA requirements and industry options for practices to accomplish this measure. Cost for the lunch seminar is $12.00 for current members $15.00 for nonmembers. Deadline for Registration is Wednesday, September 5th, 2012.
