Event details

Diane Bailey joined Sweet Adelines in the 1990s while living in Los Angeles, and has had a special fondness for it ever since. She competed at her first International in San Antonio with the Verdugo Hills Showtime Chorus, which placed fifth. That whirlwind week was full of rehearsals and competition, the San Antonio River Walk, and, yes, They Live on the TV. No one was murdered during that week, but the experiences and memories provided the setting and backdrop for Murder a Cappella.

While this is her first novel for adults, she has worked as a writer and editor for her entire professional career. She started as a newspaper reporter and entertainment journalist in Los Angeles, and currently specializes in books for children and young adults. She has written about 30 non-fiction books, on topics ranging from sports to states to celebrities, and has also completed two novel manuscripts for children. She also operates a freelance editing service, working with authors on content and developmental editing.
