So you all want to discuss the debates, don’t ya!!! But no way, you all always want to talk politics. So let’s gather tonight and talk faith. I will let you out at 7 so there is plenty of time to go home, put on your BS blocker and settle in for Ryan vs Joe.
So what are we going to talk about?
Is God a boy or a girl???
A better question might be: is God like a person at all or does God exist? But we have talked those through plenty of times.
Tonight I want to talk about Gender and God.
Does the language we use to describe God impact who we think God is? In conversation and in liturgy? When you imagine God or pray to God, is it to a male or female?
Does your image of God have a gender? Is there a hidden gender underneath your supposed gender neutral understanding?
What does the Bible have to say about God and gender?
The Open Tap meets every Thursday from 5:30 to 7 at Henry’s bar upstairs. You are welcome, your friends are welcome!!!
