Quixotic is an ensemble of artists from various disciplines including aerial acrobatics, dance, fashion, film, music and visual effects. Its performances go beyond the limits of any specific art form, challenging traditional perceptions and creating a total sensory experience while exploring infinite possibilities of movement, sound and visual effects. This Kansas City-based group includes KU Adjunct Professor of Percussion Brandon Draper, talented performers from our area and nationally-recognized artists. What began as a group that performed in abandoned buildings and warehouses in the Kansas City area, has now taken to the world stage. This year, Quixotic performed at the National TED Conference in Long Beach, California. Before returning home to perform at the Lied Center, the group will make an appearance in Spain, hit the stage at the Wakarusa Music Festival and make other notable stops.
