There is an ancient tradition in Zen Buddhism of trying to write the shortest poem possible that contains all the necessary elements of enlightenment. What do you think they are? A similar tradition is found in Hinduism and in yoga. Have Christians tried to do this? Kinda. More conservative folk tend to talk about the “Roman Road to Salvation” What is that? Is it any good? Do you have experience with it? Does it contain “all the necessary elements for enlightenment?” Let’s talk a little about these traditions and what value you can find in them, let’s talk about their limitations too. And then one more thing, but you will have to come to find out what that is…. Tap meets every Thursday from 5:30 to 7 at Henry’s bar upstairs.
