First Fridays in Lawrence = DJ Vs Drums. Friday, July 6th, DJ Kimbarley Legal and drummer Dylan Bassett will be throwing down a live mix from 10pm - 2am. DJ Vs Drums is a monthly dance night where beats of the dance floor are mixed with live improvisation from the drums. I will be spinning a foundation of Afrobeat, funk, hip-hop, salsa, and club dance tracks from Nigeria to Senegal, while Dylan uses his drum kit skills to tear it up and move the dance floor another level.
