No Bragging Rights / ALTARS and more
No Bragging Rights is an American melodic/hardcore band from Riverside, California formed in 1999 by vocalist, Mike Perez. To date they have released three full length albums and two EP's.
ALTARS formed under the name Monuments in early 2010 with the drive to present forceful passionate, heavy, hardcore/metal. The focus on the intensely spiritual foundation of the band is displayed through hardworking ideals and DIY methods to share our creation with whomeve r we can, wherever we can. ALTARS recorded demos in May of 2010, and toured those demos through 2011. The band recorded our debut EP, ‘Opposition’ with Josh Schroeder at Random Awesome Studios (Legend, For Today, A Plea For Purging, Beneath the Sky) in late 2010. This band will continue tour and push forward, refusing to be overlooked despite any obstacle.
Forever Came Calling Rock/Progressive/Pop Punk Band
San Diego favorites, Adestria, have been working their way through the ranks of the music scene and showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Recently labeled #5 Unsigned Band by AP magazine, this band blends big breakdowns with melodic piano and catchy guitar riffs. Known for their live performance and unqiue stage show, Adestria will be making their way around the US this summer. Fans of Asking Alexandria and August Burns Red will find Adestria to be the perfect mix of fast heavy music, gang chants, and memorable choruses. Expect a full length album to come out in 2011.
Wolves At The Gate When the perfect group of people come together with an idea to create something, something bigger than themselves, something beyond any one of them individually, extraordinary things can happen. Something extraordinary has happened…in the form of Wolves at the Gate… and they're just getting started
Formed in 2006, In Dying Arms have created their own style that lies somewhere between Post-Hardcore, Metalcore and Deathcore, but I can't quite put my finger on where. The fact they have a sound that switches between several elements of hard rock makes them an interesting band that should be a lot better known than they are. When listening to this band expect all the aspects you love from the genres listed above combined in the perfect manner.
Formed in 2007, Tennessee's Stand Your Ground have become quite the force to be reckoned with. Touring relentlessly since the band's inception has led to a strong fan base along the eastern United States. Solidifying their lineup in late 2008 and early 2009, Stand Your Ground have been hard at work developing their unique take on hardcore and metal. With crushing music and an even more powerful live show, they've been able to reach both sides of the hardcore and metal spectrum. Stand Your Ground will enter the studio in late Feb/early March to begin work on their second full-length album due out later in 2011, and will begin a full US tour in early April.
Shed the Dreamer You know that part in a song where a sweet breakdown ends and then does some fast metaly part, or some pretty shit, and your like "ugh. another breakdown pl0x." and then it happens and your like "♥" Well. We cut the middle shit out.
Looking for an up-and-coming band to get excited about? Look no further. Mason City, a pop/punk five-piece from Shawnee, KS, is taking the Kansas City music scene by storm. Their edgy but catchy hooks, dual vocals, and emotionally packed lyrics have drawn comparisons to bands such as Taking Back Sunday, Blink 182, and Mayday Parade. In a recent review, Neck Deep Media named Mason City an Unsung Hero and compared the band to Man Overboard. In addition, the band was recently featured on Slam Radio to introduce their single “Radio Friendly”. Mason City has played alongside nationally touring acts, from Avian Sunrise to Spineshank. They are currently playing local shows and recording their first EP, which has yet to be titled.
