Great Music For a Great Cause
The small town of Harveyville, KS is a town many hadn’t heard of until a deadly EF-2 tornado from a storm system that did millions of dollars in damage across the Midwest devastated over half of the entire town. Watching these headlines on the news makes us feel powerless. What can we do? Who ever thought it would be as easy as enjoying a great afternoon of bluegrass music?
Join us at Abe and Jake’s Landing in Lawrence Kansas on Sunday April 22nd at 2pm for a 3 band show that includes The Midday Ramblers, The Alferd Packer Memorial String Band and The Rick Faris and Friends Bluegrass Band. All for the low price of only $10.00 made possible by our sponsors Abe and Jakes Landing, Mass Street Music and the donation of time and talent by the musicians.
The show will open with The Midday Ramblers, a seasoned bluegrass band with a traditional heart and a local flare. The Alferd Packer Memorial String Band will bring a side of comedy to the line up with many smart and original tunes. The show will be closed out by a group of established bluegrass veterans led by Rick Faris (formerly of The Faris Family and currently of Special Consensus).
100% of the ticket sales will go to replenishing the Red Cross disaster funds for Northeast Kansas. Come out and enjoy a great show at an unbeatable price and help your fellow Kansans through some of the worst moments of their lives. There will be an opportunity to donate additional funds to this cause should your heart see fit.
