The Lawrence Kids Calendar and more than 25 area organizations invite families to attend the 2nd Annual Kids Summer Fun Fair from 10am-2pm on April 21st at the Community Building. This carnival-like event features games, a sticker scavenger hunt, hands-on activities, crafts, performances, demonstrations, and more! In addition, parents can visit with the organizations offering kids camps, classes and special events throughout the summer. They can even register their kids for summer programs at the event! Some of the organizations participating: Lawrence Arts Center, Pet World, Laugh Out Loud Family Zone, Theatre Lawrence, Dads of Douglas County, Lawrence Parks and Recreation, Bee Creative Studio, and Meadowlark Music Together. Entry into the Fair is free and open to the public. The Fair activities are designed for kids from toddler/preschool age through high school. In addition to kids activities and exhibits, families receive a “Lawrence Summer Fun” tote bag (while supplies last) and can be entered into a free raffle drawing for prizes donated by the participating organizations.
