The public is invited to view the final round of the second annual Wayne Simien Free Throw Challenge. This event — which originally was scheduled for Sunday, April 1, will start at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Allen Fieldhouse.
Preliminary rounds were held on Saturday, March 31. Now, contestants will compete in the finals.
This event is a benefit for two local non-profits: Family Promise of Lawrence and Called to Greatness sports ministry.
Family Promise of Lawrence is an inter-faith hospitality network committed to housing homeless families. Called to Greatness is a multi-sports ministry program that allows underprivileged kids a chance to play.
Wayne Simien is a former NBA Champion and college basketball All-American.
