Tonight's show is a throwback to classic rock, '80s metal bands and thunderous guitar riffs of yore. Saviours, on the second stop of their tour, both look and play the part of a throwback band, without any of that annoying winking irony getting in the way of their hard-driving, guitar-heavy songs that would make Thin Lizzy and Motorhead proud. They're joined by Bison B.C., another band that wears its influences on their sleeves. Purveyors of the more theatrical, dynamic, jam-friendly metal, Bison B.C. owes far more to Slayer or Dimmu Borgir than anyone else. The ear plug-friendly bill is rounded out by Lawrence's own metal/thrash rockers, Melting Point Of Bronze. In all, it should be a loud, heavy show for people who are ready to start their weekend with a bang rather than a whimper. The show starts at 10 p.m. at the Jackpot, 943 Mass.
