The Rev. Groth explores the adventurous life of her great-great-grandfather in her book, "The Incredible Story of Ephraim Nute: Scandal, Bloodshed, and Unitarianism on the American Frontier." With readings and images she details his expericences as a Unitarian missionary in Lawrence during the Bleeding Kansas and Civil War periods. After the presentation, Rev. Groth will be available to sign copies of her book. The event is free and open to the public.
