Musician/comedian Gregg Turkington’s confrontational stand-up character Neil Hamburger, a self-loathing, miserable, unapologetic husk of an entertainer who nonetheless describes himself as “America’s Funnyman” will be appearing at the Jackpot Music Hall, 943 Mass., tonight. Hamburger is probably best known from his appearances on “Tim and Eric’s Awesome Show Great Job!” or possibly Tom Green’s (remember him?) Internet talk show, “Tom Green Live.” Hamburger’s an abstract commedian, whose whole act is predicated on the idea that he’s a bad commedian. Live, his set consists of jokes built around asking the audience questions, with his answers serving as the punchline. His act starts at 10 p.m., with support from Andy Bob and Maggie Allen. The show is for people 18 and older.
