Oh No Oh My is a gorgeous sounding, pristine indie pop band that finds that balance between intelligent, gentle lyricism and dynamic, but beautiful production. The Austin, Texas quartet are touring in support of their 2011 album "People Problems" and while they aren't very well known, they should be, as their music is both accessible and gripping. Songs like "Brains" pluck at heartstrings, as it builds from a few simple, repeating bars of guitar to a full blown affair driven by strings, keys and vocal modulators. And if that weren't enough, another fantastic indie pop group from New Orleans. The band's music is a little rougher, but even catchier as it leans heavily on keyboards, simple guitar riffs and lyrics delivered in an almost chant-like fashion from Grant Widmer and Ted Joyner. The resultant band is a fantastic foil for Oh No Oh My and rounds out the bill quite nicely. Come see for yourself tonight at the Jackpot, 943 Mass. The show starts at 9 p.m.
