How do you know when you are doing enough? This maybe the most reoccurring spiritual question of our times. Maybe that’s an overstatement, but it is certainly ranking in the top ten. Most of the time, most of us, feel like there is more we should be doing but we don’t have the energy to do it. Are we lazy? Do we need more discipline? Or, is it impossible to do all that must be done? How do you draw the line personally and are you confident in how you do it? What moves you from apathy to action? What do ethicists have to say about this question? What do theologians say about this question? What kind of God would make a world where there is no way to live right? Would God have us deny ourselves for the sake of others or draw limits and care for ourselves? Is that whole distinction of “caring for self and other” wrong? What do Taoists say about “not doing”? Theology on Tap meets every Thursday from 5:30 to 7 at Henry's upstairs. Come early leave late or come late and leave early. We will be glad you came and sad to see you go!
