The Eldridge hotel is proud to be participating in Final Fridays from 6-8pm in the Crystal Ballroom on March 25th in Downtown Lawrence. Mexican-American lyric tenor Genaro Mendez and American Pianist Charles Badami will be performing throughout the evening at the hotel during the artists walk. Mendez has had a versatile and wide-ranging career as a leading operatic tenor, chamber and solo recitalist, conductor and University of Kansas voice professor. Mendez is also the director of FINEL American International Music Festival based in Lawrence. Badami is an Instructor and collaborative pianist at Northwest Missouri State and recently complete a Doctorate of Music in Piano performance and Collaborative Arts at Northwestern University. They will b e singing a potpourri of musical selections that will be “art for the ears.” “The combination of Dr. Mendez’ incredibly beautiful voice with Mr. Badami’s accompaniment will be a delight to hear coming from our historic Crystal Ballroom. You won’t want to miss this,” says Patti McCormick, Director of Special Events for The Eldridge.
