Darrell Scott is a busy man. That's what happens when you are a great songwriter (his songs have been recorded by the likes of Travis Tritt, Patty Loveless, the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Keb' Mo', Kathy Mattea and Sam Bush); a great instrumentalist (he's spending most of 2011 touring with Robert Plant's Band of Joy, playing guitar, mandolin, banjo, pedal steel guitar and accordion after spending much of last year with Steve Earle's Bluegrass Dukes); and a great singer. Vintage Guitar says "he ranks as the most outstanding and underrated songwriter and performer in the United States today." while Rolling Stone says his work "matches Guy Clark and Bruce Springsteen at their best." Acoustic Guitar notes "…an astonishing vocal range…His guitar prowess is equally impressive; with an arsenal of impeccable acoustic techniques and an electric guitar that is downright incendiary." Sam Bush says "His playing is unreal" and Performing Songwriter simply calls him "The best of the best."
