International speaker on the related effects of energy and the economy, Nicole Foss, will be speaking in Lawrence on June 24th, 7:00-9:00PM at the Lawrence Community Building at 115 W. 11th Street. Tickets can be purchased at the event for $6. Nicole Foss has extensive experience in the energy field with both renewable and conventional energy. She has studied and written about how the economy and energy availability are intertwined and presents these difficult concepts in a very easy to understand way. Nicole has spoken throughout Europe, Canada and the United States and is highly regarded by her peers. Her talk will cover: -What energy sources are available? -What will energy prices do over time and why? -How does the current economic downturn effect long term energy availability? -Why does energy availability matter to me and my community? -How can you best prepare yourself? -How can you best prepare your community?
