If God is Love, what does that mean?
That is the big mama question with a multitude of little baby questions in tow:
Is God love? What is love? What does that mean about God’s relationship to us? What does it mean about God’s relationship to the earth? If God is love, why do bad things happen to good people? Does God being love mean much about the future?
How do we love? What are the lessons we have learned in love? What are the best ways to love? What are the limits to love?
Can we, do we and how could we love God? Is that expected or important?
I would love it if you would drop by theology on tap and consider these and more questions with me. I hope that we can answer these questions from a personal experience level, and from a biblical level and from the level of a variety of non-Christian traditions.
Theology on Tap meets every Thursday from 5:30 to 7 at Henry’s Upstairs. Come late, leave early, talk a ton or be silent and stoic. No matter what, we will have a good time.
PS (1st Corinthians will be the focus Scripture (13))
