Denver artist Woodsman embarks on another tour of the Midwest, with a detour to Toronto, stopping in Lawrence tonight at the Jackpot Music Hall, 943 Mass., along the way. If you missed the experimental quartet the last time he was here, you owe it to yourself to see them tonight. Their music is harrowing, but lacking the dramatic bombast of similar bands. Their use of vocal filters, repeating melodies and unconventional song structures draw easy comparisons to bands like Animal Collective. They are joined by Tape Deck Mountain, who make a similar, though more aggressive and far less melodious racket. Lawrence's Generals open. The show starts at 9 p.m.
