New Heirlooms, The Traveling Junipers
Variable-piece folk outfit New Heirlooms stops at the Replay tonight on their way east toward their home state of California. The band's songs can best be described as ornate, with a lot of pieces and parts that develop over time. The band's sleepier songs such as "Loose Lips Sink Ships" rely heavily on harmonies from Jesse Lee Miller and Marissa Moriel to craft somber stories of loss and regret. Feel good stuff. They are joined by Lawrence's The Traveling Junipers, for even more folk music for your discriminating dollar. The show starts at 10 p.m. at the Replay Lounge, 943 Mass. Cover is $3 and the show is 21 and older.
