Tim Rued has been immersed in Swedish folk music for many years and traveled to Sweden in 1974 for the first of many trips to play and study with some of Sweden's finest folk musicians. Tim was awarded the prestigious bronze Zorn medal in Sweden in 1977.
The evening concert will feature Tim playing both fiddle and nyckelharpa. (The nyckelharpa is a beautiful baroque sounding Swedish instrument) The program will also include very interesting stories about the music and the fiddlers that have played these tunes.
Ingevalds Spelmån, the hosting group, may also play a few tunes. If there is interest, we may play for a few dances at the end of the concert.
The program will be held in the basement of the ECM building. Tickets are available at the door.
