- Age limit: Not available
Tonight's Indie offering from the Jackpot Music Hall, 943 Mass., comes in the form of Tallahassee band Only Thieves. The four-piece rock act is touring in support of their full-length album "Heartless Romantics." Only Thieves have a sound best described as anthemic as they forfeit complicated song structures in favor of hammering percussion, simple guitar hooks and impassioned vocals courtesy of guitarist and lead vocal James Barnes. These traits make Echo of the Elms a great compliment, as they too traffic in forward-moving rock that has a much more aggressive edge to it when heard live. And while Elevator Action may display better musicianship than Only Thieves, they don't lose any of the immediacy. Elevator Action opens the show, which starts at 10 p.m. As usual, the show is 18 and older. Sorry, minors.
