The One Paragraph Faith Statement This Thursday we are going to take time to each write the answers to the six key questions that make up a faith statement. These do not need to be the final word on the subject, but instead, a working document. Some of the questions include: who is God, how does God influence the world, what is prayer, how do you understand the Bible, who is Jesus and what is the church to you? I will give everyone 3 one line answers to each of the questions and you pick which one describes you best or better yet, use them as a stepping stone for just writing what you think yourself. Then we will take a minute to put them together into a 1 paragraph, 7 sentence statement of how you see the world right now and compare them to each other. To me- this sounds like fun- and – an activity that is good to repeat every now and then. PS- you might bring a pen! If you get this email but can’t come and want to do this activity, I can send you the stuffs over email. You won’t be able to compare and discuss, but you will still figure out your statement. Every week Theology on Tap is full of the conversations that we need to mature spiritually together. Come with questions, come with answers, come to argue or come to listen, come late, leave early, totally relaxed, every Thursday at Henry’s bar upstairs 5:30-7.
