The Haskell Indian Nations University Cheer Squad will be having a benefit for recent graduate Richard Sheridan Jr., who was involved in a life-threatening car accident. The benefit, “Bowling & A Band,” will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Wayne & Larry’s Sports Bar & Grill and Royal Crest Lanes, 933 S. Iowa. The cost is $10 per person, which will include two rounds of bowling and shoe rental. Guests also can enjoy live music provided by Film @ Eleven. Proceeds will help cover medical expenses for Sheridan who was injured July 8 near his hometown in Nebraska. He was life-flighted to the Burn Center at Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, after he sustained burns to almost 50 percent of his body including damage to his lungs.
