One of these days, Truckstop Honeymoon may well become known as a badass bluegrass band from LAWRENCE. But for now, they're still often known as transplants from N'Orleans, as so much of their latest music is infused with their experience being dislocated by Hurricane Katrina. The husband/wife duo's sixth LP "Homemade Haircut" is due out in early June. Borned in 1997, The Midday Ramblers may be the longest-running band in Lawrence with no personnel changes. Fact or arrogant assumption? Come down and set 'em straight as they jam their twangy standards, crack-corn originals, and sublime instrumentals. Listen to our podcast preview of their latest album.
