Seminal KC/Lawrence pop/punk act Cher U.K. brings on a much-requested one-off tussle of rage and attitude to town in the interest of re-creating its ill-received 1996 attempt at raising awareness toward the deepening crisis of wealth between Asia and the United States on a musical level. The band delivers this through a presentation dubbed “Fong U.K.,” self-described as featuring “excruciatingly hackneyed costuming and guitar naiveté.”
