"Beaded Heritage" is a collaborative effort between the Spencer and Julia and Twila White Bull, seniors at Haskell Indian Nations University. In addition to displaying their own work (intricate, hand-made regalia for pow wows), Julia and Twila have selected for display some historical items from the Spencer’s collection that provide examples of the heritage which influences their contemporary beadwork and dance regalia. Julia and Twila are the granddaughters of Russell Means, who will be attending, and who will make some brief remarks. Read feature about Means.
