Adrianne Verhoeven has proven to be one of Lawrence’s most talented musical products, whether singing and playing keyboards with the beloved indie band The Anniversary in the early part of the last decade or fronting her own hypnotic soul project Dri in the latter. Although Verhoeven recently relocated to San Francisco, she is now collaborating with Bay Area musician/producer Alex deLanda in the new band Extra Classic. The group — which also features contributions by other Lawrence musicians — is an homage to Jamaican music of the ’60s and ’70s.
