TOMS Shoes founder to speak at KU

The founder of a shoe company with a new kind of business model is scheduled to speak at Kansas University on Jan. 26. Blake Mycoskie is the founder and chief shoe giver at TOMS Shoes. The business practices a “one for one” business model where it donates one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair of shoes it sells. Mycoskie is scheduled to speak at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at the Lied Center. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entry. Tickets will be available starting Jan. 11 at the SUA Box Office on Level 4 of the Kansas Union, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
