A benefit for the Sierra Club. Inspired by the BP disaster, FIRE/WATER combines art, music, performance and education. The art of the evening includes an original poster series created for this event by local graphic artists. The posters will be auctioned and proceeds split between the Sierra Club and the artists. Participating artists include Zachary Trover, Matt Hawkins and Phil Shafer. Other highlights of the evening include performances by: Voler - Thieves of Flight Heather Thornton Plus special guests: the Oil Slicked Girls of the Gulf Representatives of local businesses and organizations invested in sustainability will also be on hand to share ways to be more eco-friendly. The evening will also include a silent auction, 100 percent of proceeds will benefit the Sierra Club. Anyone who rides a bike or the bus to FIRE/WATER will get a gift! 75 percent of the door proceeds will also go to the Sierra Club to continue the grassroots environmental organization's efforts in the Gulf and beyond.
