Dance-rock vixens The Gossip made the treacherous leap from indie darling to mainstream act with their dignity and punkiness intact. The group's 2009 release "Music for Men" maintained the group/s fiery disco-rock spirit while upping the production value. Singer Beth Ditto has all the charisma of the greats - Debbie Harry, Donna Summer, Siouxsie Sioux - and a voice that reaches out the door and down a dark alley. Bring your dancing shoes or risk looking like a real Debbie Downer.
Opener Rye Rye is a protege of the ubiquitous M.I.A.
