White Hinterland is the alias of Portland-based pianist and songwriter Casey Dienel, who has released records for Hush Records and Dead Oceans. Her eclectic style is difficult to pigeonhole, but some obvious points of reference include Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, and Regina Spektor.
