After playing a bajillion shows during the past couple years, Lawrence's David Hasselhoff on Acid can finally send people home with a souvenir of its insane jam-prog shows. The group's first album comes out this week, and it's every bit as freaky as the foursome's beguiling instrumental stew. Les Claypool would approve of the group's slap-happy sound, which is more composed than hippie jam-bands but every bit as trippy. One can imagine the actual David Hasselhoff being quite confused by it all, though he might warm up to the band if he was actually on acid.
