The Sounds are a female-fronted rock band from Sweden with a new-wave sound that recalls Blondie and The Go-Go's. The band delivers the goods in the form of fun pop songs that complement rather than imitate the aforementioned influences. The Sounds' song "Hurt You" was featured on a Geico Caveman commercial; perhaps an indication that the band's sugary sound is so easy that a caveman could do it. A new album titled "Crossing the Rubicon" is due June 2, so expect a bunch of new tunes at tonight's show.
