Ill Ease is the solo recording project of Brooklyn-based artist Elizabeth Sharp. Sharp started her musical career in the '90s, founding indie mainstays New Radiant Storm King. After a few years pounding out the frenetic drumbeats, Elizabeth picked up the guitar and bass and started composing rock songs in her Brooklyn apartment. He new album "The Exorcist" is truly unique stuff built on loopy beats and slurred, exasperated vocals with a bit of Pixies pop thrown in for good measure.
Lawrence's Coat Party is a kick-ass, electro punk, female-fronted dance explosion. Armed with merely two mics, bass, syths and drums, the quartet kicks out sweet jams a la Le Tigre, Peaches and/or The Blow.
