The Goldenberg Duo will present a concert of classical music representative of our universe and the natural beauty of living things. Susan Goldenberg is a violinist with the Kansas City Symphony. William Goldenberg, her brother, is Distinguished Professor of Piano at Northern Illinois University. The concert is part of the KC Symphony's Community Connections program. As the artists describe their program: "The music of Robert Schumann portrays verdant, earthy images of Germany. The music of Astor Piazzolla evokes "Oblivion" from Buenos Aires. The music of Manuel deFalla reveals the rich beauty of Spanish culture and dance. And a sonatina, written by Antonin Dvorak in America, depicts pastoral scenes of the Midwest."
