Laura Gibson is a Portland-based singer/songwriter who can be counted among the folksy crew of Hush Records. Not so much old-timey or country, Gibson's crackling voice and easy way with melody is supported by members of Norfolk & Western, lending well-rounded atmospheres to her latest album "Beast of Seasons."
Tour mates Musee Mecanique explore a similar vein of lovely music built around a shifting array of instruments and whispery vocals.
