“Home: On the Road”

Read our preview of the event. "Home: On the Road" is a play about Lawrence written by local teenagers. The Lawrence Youth Ensemble has been working on this project since December, presenting workshops and leading interview sessions of Lawrence residents. The material, along with personal experiences of group members, was then developed into a script. The play is a series of vignettes, many of them comedic, centering on everything from John Brown to Lawrence hipsters. This event is outdoors. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. The Lawrence Youth Ensemble offers theatre opportunities to youth in Douglas County at no cost. Home: On the Road is funded by a grant from the Point of Light/Hands On Network.
