Kansas's definitive hardcore band is releasing its first album in a decade. "Ox" marks Coalesce's long-awaited return to productivity, and it doesn't disappoint. Singer Sean Ingram's throat is coated with a fresh coat of RAAAAAWRRR after a ten-year hiatus (also presumably how he keeps his employees in line at Blue Collar Distro). Not limited to hardcore conventions, the disc evokes disparate moods with explosive dynamics and some less screamy moments. Doors at 8 p.m. / Show at 9 p.m.
