Event details

A most anticipated concert of the LCO season, this year's "Baroque by Candlelight" features works by C.P.E. Bach and William Boyce, and also gives us the opportunity to hear two works seldom heard live, namely Handel's elegant Harp Concerto, and the virtuoso cantata "Su le sponde del Tebro" by Alessandro Scarlatti, who was Handel's Italian mentor. Perhaps this concert could be named "Pupil meets Master"! The gifted harpist Tabitha Reist Steiner joins the LCO as soloist for the concerto, while two other superb soloists are featured in the cantata-Bethany College voice professor Jodi Frisbie, soprano, and University of Missouri-Kansas City trumpet professor Keith Benjamin.Boyce -- Symphony no.8 in D Minor Handel -- Harp Concerto, Opus 4/6 C.P.E.
