The goal of CReSIS is to understand the role of polar ice sheets in sea level change. CReSIS has developed state-of-the art radars and is designing an Unihabited Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for use in Greenland and Antarctica. Displays at the open house will include an uninhabited aircraft designed and built at KU. The event will also feature children’s activities on glaciers, climate information about Greenland and Antarctica, and displays of recent radar developments. Faculty and students will be on hand to answer questions about their research in climate science, aeronautical engineering and electrical engineering. Admission is free and open to the public.
