From Westside Folk: Ellis Paul is a critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, poet and troubadour, and the recipient of thirteen Boston Music Awards. His songs wed striking poetic imagery and philosophical introspection with hook-laden melodies. He's also carrying on the torch of Woody Guthrie, and has been made an honorary citizen of Woody's hometown, Okemah, Oklahoma in recognition of the way he has championed Woody's music and ideals. He'll be coming to Lawrence with a brand new CD, "The Day After Everything Changed." Adam Ezra will be opening. Tickets: $20, at Mass Street Music and online at westsidefolk.org.
