Event details

"The Bois," the sexuality podcast from Lawrence-based media production company Scott Winer Productions (SWP) and its audio podcasting division SWP Radio, will record it’s first-ever show with a live audience at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 19th at Wilde’s Chateau 24. Admission is $5 for those 18 to 21. There is no cover charge during the show for anyone 21 or older. Patrons must be 18 to enter. The club’s weekly Pride Night will immediately follow. The podcast, which premiered in February, revolves around its two openly gay hosts "Scottie" and "Toddie," SWP Founder and Executive Producer Scott Winer and SWP Creative Director Todd Pickrell, respectively. The two conduct interviews as part of their quest to learn about the "Straight Lifestyle." In doing so, they have welcomed a variety of guests, either in person or by phone. Before each episode, guests complete the Klein Sexual Orientation Grid (KSOG), an elaboration on the Kinsey Scale that was introduced in 1993 by Dr. Fritz Klein in his book The Bisexual Option, to help characterize their own sexual orientation. Of the twenty-two guests appearing on the show through July, ten have identified as straight, seven as gay, three as bisexual and two as lesbian. Guests have included students and faculty at The University of Kansas as well as self-identified fans from as far away as Washington and California and as nearby as Lee’s Summit and Wichita. Episodes of "The Bois" are available for free download at the SWP Radio website, http://www.swpradio.com, or on the iTunes Store. "The Bois" is a presentation of SWP Radio, A Division of Scott Winer Productions, LLC. Scott Winer serves as Executive Producer. Rowdy Wichman is Supervising Producer, Scott Winer Productions. Todd Pickrell is Creative Director.
