Pat Caddell, public opinion pollster, political strategist, and Fox News commentator, will discuss the current situation in Washington, how politics is portrayed in popular media, and his days polling for former president Jimmy Carter. The program will explore politics, pop culture and polling. Politics: As a mastermind of campaign strategy, Caddell has worked for several democratic candidates including George McGovern in 1972, Jimmy Carter in 1976 and 1980, and Joe Biden in 1988. Caddell also served as a key advisor and strategist during President Carter’s time in the White House Pop Culture: A frequent contributor to Fox News Channel, Caddell has appeared on shows such as “Hardball” and “The O’Reilly Factor” opposite Republican contributors, but is often cited for critical comments of the Democratic Party. He also works in television, having written and produced several episodes of NBC’s “The West Wing.” Polling: Caddell has spent much of his career as a public opinion pollster. Along with being an advisor and strategist for the Carter administration, he also did polling to gage the Americans’ opinions of the president.
